PREFACE TO THE ELEVENTH EDITION

PREFACE TO THE ELEVENTH EDITION
This Eleventh Edition of The Philadelphia Code includes all ordinances passed by Council through the end of its 2012-2015 term and is current through March 4, 2016.
The Eleventh Edition modifies very slightly the recent practice of a comprehensive new Edition every four years, with Cumulative Supplements every year between Editions. The Eleventh Edition is issued five years after the Tenth Edition in order to align the publication schedule of the Code with the four year session calendar of City Council. All previous Editions and supplements should be discarded.
This Edition is published in two volumes. Users of the Code should refer to these volumes and any future Cumulative Supplements for the most up-to-date printed Code available. For information concerning any legislation involving Code amendments enacted after the most recent Supplement or electronic update, please contact the Chief Clerk of City Council, Room 402 City Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19107, or telephone 215-686-3410, or visit City Council's Web site at www.phila.gov/citycouncil.
The Eleventh Edition is published by American Legal Publishing, which serves as the official publisher of The Philadelphia Code. In addition to a printed version, American Legal will place the Code on the Internet, where it can be accessed through the City of Philadelphia's home page (www.phila.gov) or through American Legal's home page (www.amlegal.com). American Legal will sell the Code in print form and CD-ROM format, with Rocket's Folio software (contact: American Legal Publishing, One West Fourth Street, Third Floor, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202; telephone: 800-445-5588; fax: 513-763-3562; e-mail: customerservice@amlegal.com).
We would appreciate your comments and feedback on any errors you may discover in using the Code, so that we may correct them in the next Edition or supplement. Please notify Richard Feder, Law Department, 17th Floor, One Parkway Building, 1515 Arch Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19102; richard.feder@phila.gov.
